Grosse Autos haben Vorrang Teil 2
Heute Morgen frisch aus dem Bett gehupft und schon richtige Arbeit! Das Fahrrad musst repariert werden. Beim Vorderreifen musste ein neue Schlauch rein. Klingt einfach, ist es aber nicht. Warum? Wir haben kein Werkzeug. Nur eine Rohrzange und Besteck. Nach einem halbstündigen Kampf (ist schon fast peinlich) war der Reifen dann bereit um mit frischer US amerikanischer Freiheitsluft bedankt zu werden.
Nach der Reparatur und dem Frühstück (übrigens kein Arnoldbrot sondern Cornflakes) begann ich meinen heutigen Tag zu planen. Da ich ja jetzt ein Rad hatte, sprach nix gegen eine Radtour. Also ein Blick auf die Karte(1.28MB) die die Fahrradfreundlichkeit der Bay Area versucht zu beweisen. Ich entschloss mich zum Great Mall zu fahren, und das fast ausschliesslich auf Strassen die eine Bike Lane haben! (wie man der Karte entnehmen kann nicht selbstverständlich)
Die erste Bekanntschaft von abrupt endender Fahrradspur machte ich beim Flughafen bei dem ich in eine autobahnähnliche Zubringerstrasse geriet. Aufgrund plötzlicher Angstzustände trug ich mein Rad über eine Grünfläche auf dem Flughafen Parkplatz und nach weiteren halsbrecherischen Aktionen, war ich dann wieder auf einer violetten velofreundlichen Strasse.
Nach mehrmaligen Verfahren und sich wiederfinden neben Autobahnauffahrten erreichte ich nach 2 Stunden den Great Mall. Zeit für Mittag. Diesmal chinesisch was eine einzige Fettbombe war. (deshalb gab's heute Abend nur Jogurt). Der Mall selber war aber nicht so übertrieben gross! Eigentlich gab's nur Frauenzeugs zu kaufen. Weshalb ich auch schnell wieder fertig war und zurück zu meinem Rad ging.
Doch, ihr werdet es nicht glauben, die Luft aus dem Hinterrad war weg! Genau, an Potscha! Kein Schlauch, keine Pumpe und auch kein Rohrzangenspezialwerkzeug mit! Also zurück in den Mall und in das einzige Sportgeschäft eine Pumpe und einen neuen Schlauch kaufen. Die Rohrzange hab ich mir verkniffen. Nach dem ich mich reichlich geärgert hatte, startet ich meine Reparatur, die darin Bestand die Pumpe in Betrieb zu nehmen und den Reifen noch einmal aufzublasen. Er hielt die Luft! Zumindest für meine Rückfahrt! Morgen wird gecheckt ob er immer noch Luft verliert.
